Human Rights Day rememberance 2009

The World Muslim Sikh Federation held a Human Rights Day rememberance event at their office in Southall.

The Human Rights Day, observed every year on 10 December by the international community, commemorates the day the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948.

The World Muslim Sikh Federation is actively working for Human Rights in South Asia.

India may be the largest democracy in the world with no persecuted minorities BUT

  • No one has yet been prosecuted for the pre-meditated and mob led destruction of the Babri masjid in Ayodha that cost 2,000 lives.
  • 309 Christian churches being systematically burnt down over a 6 month period is the work of Hindu extremists organisations trying to convert others to Hinduism or wipe them out with the blessing of the state.
